Ousmane Dembele scored twice as Paris St-Germain moved back to the top of Ligue 1 with a confident victory over Lille.

The French forward opened the scoring early on with a fine strike, curling a low effort into the corner of the net from 20 yards.

Dembele notched a spectacular second at the Parc des Princes just after the hour mark with an audacious chip from just inside the box.

Bradley Barcola added a third in injury time after capitalising on a mix-up in the Lille defence.

Dembele won the Ballon d’Or last season but has suffered an injury-hit campaign.

PSG coach Luis Enrique said despite the 28-year-old’s impressive attacking display he still needs to contribute in other areas of his game.

“Everyone will say that Ousmane is the best player but for me, no, we still need to see the best version of Ousmane defensively,” Enrique said.

“Because we need a player like him with a defensive mentality. He showed that last year and this year, he needs to continue that.”

PSG are two points above Lens, who will return to the Ligue 1 summit should they beat Auxerre on Saturday.
