Rangers have been told by an SPFL tribunal to pay Dundee a fee of around £400,000 for midfielder Lyall Cameron.

Dens Park academy graduate Cameron, 23, agreed a pre-contract with Rangers last February before moving to Ibrox in the summer. The clubs were unable to agree a compensation package, so the matter went to the SPFL.

Cameron made 10 appearances for Rangers before joining Aberdeen on loan last week for the remainder of the season.

In a statement, Dundee confirmed that the tribunal proceedings have concluded, but were “unable to comment further due to tribunal’s confidentiality clause”.

Rangers have 14 days from Tuesday’s decision to pay the fee.
